@ExtrovertedMainMan that is a wild question title

9:19 AM
wildly off-topic, yes.

9:32 AM
@AlexRobinson wow - that is worrying. Things you would think are automatic as part of empathy, compassion etc

10:04 AM
@RoryAlsop its similar to the people who argue that there needs to be a profit incentive for everything... god forbid people be nice for niceness sake

@AlexRobinson Or (and I don't want to get into a religious thing) - religious extremists hvaing a go at atheists, saying they cannot possibly be good without a god driving them...

that argument is always so funny to me, just outright confessing that they would not try to be good if not for fear of eternal damnation - which still makes them not good people as their motivations are entirely selfish

'Religious good' is different from 'secular good'. ;)
The good I do now isn't 'religious good', if you ask religious people like my grandma. Sure, I may do 'good' things for other people but they're devoid of the touch of God so they're not 'good good' :P

@Tinkeringbell that just makes it funnier to me, the idea that an all knowing and all powerful being cares about worship and or is jealous is absurd

1:41 PM
Yeah, the more you think about some things the less sense they make sometimes.
Religion is a good crutch, and some people need that. In that way it makes sense for humanity to come up with loads of religions over time.
But because humanity came up with it, it has all the same flaws humanity has ;)
