MonkeyMindWe have been married for 15 years without big issues, but lately things have started to change. I'm not good with interpersonal relationships (sometimes too cold. I'm aware that I lack empathy), while my wife is the opposite, she is very emotional and super empathetic (something I like from her)....

I seriously came back to 'Hey, there were two things wrong last Wednesday and well you're back now so have fun fixing'. On the one hand I don't mind, it's my part of the code (and we're running it as a pilot so there's no real hurry)... on the other, it's not the best to come back to XD

Yeah. I don't know, I personally always try to at least fix the stuff I can fix if a co-worker goes on vacation, instead of saying 'oh they'll be back to fix this'. Yes, that does mean that once someone goes on vacation we're not making as much new things but...

Q: How to let people face the consequences of their own actions while not making them feel bad/worse?

TinkeringbellMy parents are both great at this: I do something stupid and they can make me realize whatever follows is simply a consequence of my own stupidity. Their approach made me take responsibility for the consequences of my own actions, while at the same time still somehow helping me deal with the situ...
