@lila basically if the "rules" are unsure whether a post is spam or not... "tp" = false positive I think
though that's for smokey. Not sure about commentbot

@JourneymanGeek Oh okay thanks for this and good night.

"tp" is true positive (correct detection), "fp" is false positive (incorrect detection). The bot (when it's working properly) records that data, which can then be used to help fine-tune the regexes used to detect comments.

It could also be used as a training data set the day we want to add deep-learning based auto-detection. That'd be awesome but it needs time ...

Gosh, I don't like it when commercials want to talk to you. I mean, I understand the need for feedbacks but why isn't writing an option? Especially when English isn't the native language of any of the person involved
@avazula The answer is a little fuzzy but actually it is a suggestion how to try to direct the conversation towards the vacation. "Have you tried something similar before?" - Did the other answer that got 5 upvotes mention anything about trying that? I wonder why it has no such comment. — puck 13 secs ago

@Mithical People whose job is to sell stuff. What would you use instead? I guess "seller" could do?

From my experience sometimes things need to be discussed orally, especially for NTs who struggle to go into details in the written form. That doesn't mean they don't need to prepare this meeting first though (I wish they'd remember that ... ;) )
@Ael salesmen?
"marketers", "salespeople"
("commercials" are usually advertisements, specifically on TV and radio)
But yeah... people wanting to talk on the phone is always annoying :(
@avazula Well, I struggle to go into detail orally (especially in english, especially when I don't understand half of what the other person is saying) so... Plus, in this case, they are the one who want the meetings. Since I would be doing them a favore by accepting, I am just going to decline. If you want a favore for me, at least give me the choice between written and oral form
8:07 AM
That's brave of you. I wouldn't be able to assert myself like that. If they'd ask me for a meeting I'd still ask them to send me a document describing their needs beforehand hehe

@avazula Oh no, I'm not asserting myself at all. I'm just quietly ignoring them... (I know, it's not nice ><)
Declining is different from ignoring :p

Q: I don't understand what my girlfriend means with this

khaled014zSo me and my gf are in a long distance relationship for about 3 months, and in the past month and weeks we've been dirty with each other (without crossing the line), but 2 days ago she got excited to the point that she told me that she can't handle it anymore and I need to take it easy (because o...

@Ael I hope you get well soon, what means "borde"?
7:20 PM
@lila The correct way to write it is "bored", I made a mistake ^^ And I'm better now, thank you :)
@Ael Hahahaha bored okay I see this now, it was so simple to guess but I got confused, you know, because I thought it was in French and I though it might be an abbreviation of "bordeaux" and it made no sense to me :D
@lila Oh dear, no x'D I guess I'm not that French because I don't really like bordeaux (or any kind of alcohol really)
7:39 PM
@Ael Haha oh okay :D I also don't like any alcohol, it doesn't cause me to feel buzz, only the hammering headache instead. But I just know what is Bordeaux :D
@lila I never felt the "positive" effect of alcohol either. Only the bad ones where my stomack become very unhappy and makes me ill (my stomack do tend to be very sensitive and doesn't like alcohol at all)

Q: How to explain a gap in my resumé (tried to change job)

throwawayI worked in IT (software engineer) and, fed up with this job, decided to try and change to another career. I went back to study (woodworking) but it didn't work out in the end. I am now considering going back to IT, since it pays the bills. But how to explain the gap in my resumé without sounding...

I’m voting to close this question because it is not really about interpersonal skills. I think you might have more luck on the workplace SE, though it sounds like a duplicate there as well. — AsheraH 2 mins ago
