Me and Devsena are college friends, she was my mix doubles badminton partner in college team. We spent lot of time together practicing and going for tournaments, so we came very close in our 3rd year, and I ended up having feelings for her.
But she didn't feel the same and said she only sees me ...
Last week we were watching the television and the news covered a story about a police officer that lost his job after hitting a person 7 times.
Watching the footage of this happening, I made the comment
"The is no justification for that, 7 strikes is horrendous."
To which my grandfather replie...
How would this work for you if it was a man? There is no way would it be appropriate to tell her this, unless you want to end your friendship. There will be many situations in your life when you feel attracted to someone and can't act upon it, you learn to keep it to yourself. — RedSonja1 min ago

@ZYR good point, you might find one who has been through similar and would do it pro bono. Also check local charities and see if they have access to legal advice that is specialist in this topic. They sound like toxic parents; sometimes you just have to walk away #beenthere. — bigbadmouse1 min ago
@M.A.R.ಠ_ಠ I'm actually baffled by joggers who wear headphones, and then seem surprised when trying to cross roads that there may be cars about to hit them
As a cyclist, I would never wear headphones or earphones - it's crazy
@RoryAlsop twitter.com/krystonen/status/1133276284841320448 < Today, even roads that are usually only for cars, are now open for cyclists. Because of a large strike of public transport employees.
The bad part is though... they're still predicting delays and shorter trains for tomorrow, so I'm kinda torn between going or not going to an office :/
@Ælis The strike will be done tomorrow. They're just expecting delays and shorter trains, probably due to not having the right trains at the right places.
@JAD I don't really need that much collaboration in my job, that's probably why I don't see the point in going to an office when I could work from home
hmm, for me it's mostly discussing things every now and then. It's just easier to ask something quickly face to face, than to send an e-mail and hoping they're even at their desk, while you're waiting for an answer.
I feel attracted to someone. I did have a relationship with her before (we were little children at that time, 5-7 years old), but we couldn't continue because of age and distance.
We are both introverted and both have PDDNOS, a form of autism. I can talk to her in person, and I seriously don't ...
@Termatinator I linked it underneath the question together with three other posts about having conversations with people about starting relationships. I get a feeling this one may very well be a duplicate of one of them...
@AJ Yeah, I already saw this one :p I shall go look for more dev jokes, I am currently laughing alone in front of my computer and I want to laugh more :p
Motorbikes here are too old and noisy. Headphone with motorbike would be something like eating trash from a waste basket wearing a hobo coat but with a golden spoon.

Introduction
I'm a male software developer at the age of 25 in austria whom started his carreer about 2.5 years ago.

A close family member, Ann, has been trying to get me to do XYZ for years. She'll text me every now and then asking if I've done it yet. Every time we see each other she'll no doubt bring it up. She's been close to fanatical about XYZ. She'll call me and preach about how I should be doing this.

My team at work uses online chat extensively, since we're spread out over a few locations. There are also some people in the chatroom who aren't directly on our team but work on closely related projects, and who I've never met in person.
Recently someone in the latter group (not my te...

I am a member of a Discord server that was created as a place for a community to move to after the place where the community formed was shut down. The adjective distinct means separate, clearly defined, and easily distinguishable from all others. Distinct also means notable or highly probable. The adjective distinctive means having a quality that makes a person or thing noticeably different from others.
TBH, I had to look it up, and I natively speak that language
I work in a tiny startup, digital marketing agency. I've always lived a very simple life. My way of life style is still very much influenced by the way it was in my childhood.
The thing is, I don't wear t-shirts and jeans. At office and outside, I wear formals. At home, shirt and pajama.
Now it...
@Tinkeringbell :/ nothing I can do about it. Online might be easier but I know the teacher gives out ridiculous homework and online classes are unpredictable
this throws off the summer schedule I had but (shrugs) life is about change and adapting to it. I'm just not feeling great about this and my body and brain is still in shock
Well, I wish you good luck ;) My day is already over, I'm going to sleep for now. If there's anything I can do to help, let me know. I had a few classes on statistics when in university, maybe I remember enough to help you out...
