7:14 PM
@Sandman Seems pretty good to the main stack :D

@ankii er... what's the context?

Japanese - Dutch question's comments

@ankii oh, I missed that one. it sounds to me like they might mean "flirting"

@Sandman " avoid playing the card " @Ælis make it a bit softer.. ?
I anyway didn't add this line to the question., just paraphrased some questions in comments
oh wait the edit is pending..

@ankii flirting seems to be the most appropriate word

7:22 PM
yeah that's what I thought..

@ankii "Also, I would like to avoid playing the card "I'm mentally ill" too much (Note: I'm not saying that this is a "card" disable/ill people "play". However, it is often perceived as such by people who doesn't share the illness/disability). "
Better?

umm distracting :(

@ankii :/ I'm tired, I don't know how to change that. Maybe you could propose an edit?

"playing the card" -> bringing [this] up

"I'd like to avoid giving the impression that I'm using my disability as a tool for my own purposes."

7:24 PM
and sorry..I am yet to earn edit privilege on IPS (and meta)
yeah that seems nice! cough literature mod cough

Thank you both, I edited those two suggestions in :)

or "I'd like to avoid asking for too many accommodations and having people think that I can't handle my job because of my disabilities"?

@Ælis n̓ͬ̈̓̐͝͏̮̝̥̥̗̥̤̱̤̦͇̥̝͈ͅi̴̹͍̭͕̯̩̜͙͙̦͋̽͐͑̃͗ͬ͋̀͗͌̅ͦ͟c̫̜͉͓̗̫̲̻͈̼̃̋̂ͦ̿ͣ̀̕͟ͅe͎̜͕̯̼̹̮̘̍̍ͭ͐ͯ̊ͥͭ̇̀̀͜͝ͅ!̸̢̯̯̰̝̻̝̼̩̳̩͇̣̱̣͂̈́ͫ̒̔ͨ͐̅͒͒͒̓ͩ͌̎̚̕

@AGirlHasNoName I don't think "asking for too many accommodations" is my problem here, but thanks for the suggestion :)

@Ælis ohh I don't either. I thought it might be what you were worried was the perception.
No worries ><

7:33 PM
@AGirlHasNoName It's true I don't want people to "think that I can't handle my job because of my disabilities" and I do worry about asking for "too many accommodations" but I hardly see asking for "no surprise please!" as a "real" accommodation

@Ælis I agree. I think then that I got your meaning but the word accommodations was not the right one.

Seems like it, yes (sorry, I'm not chatty today, I'm too tired for that)

so the evening is here and please excuse a little disturbance, but the change it worth it!
10 hours ago, by ankii
By the evening, I might post a transformation photo of Twinkle.
I might have messed up aspect ratio ^^'

8:30 PM
@ankii still nice :D

Q: How, if at all, can I intervene when a parent disciplines a child in public?

LeopoldChildren can be unruly, and parents often have to discipline them in public. Occasionally, a parent scolds a child with very harsh words that would make most adults I know cry, or for more than twenty minutes. I have no way to tell when that's appropriate, when it's too strict, or when it's part ...

8:47 PM
@ExtrovertedMainMan this sounds very very familiar ... not sure if it was asked on this stack though ...
lol @CaldeiraG just posted it :D

Hmm, definitely considering a CV for this one, but my main reason is that I think this will pull bad answers

hmm the linked question is more about when the child is acting badly, not the parent, so I guess it's not as applicable as I thought. still could be useful
@Rainbacon bad in what way?

Poor frame challenges mostly

ah, yeah

I see potential for a lot of answers like "you don't, you just mind your own business"

8:57 PM
true :/ and that could be a valid answer given backup, but I wouldn't want a bunch of answers all saying that

@Rainbacon hehe thanks! My gf was like "tell your stackexchange friends so I can get more followers" :p

9:31 PM
@scohe001 :p
I'm playing jackbox with a streamer, lots of fun :D

9:45 PM
Ooh jackbox games are always fun

Q: Asking for fees for an assumed free service

RaktDuring my university years, I had designed and developed my department website. It's been many years since I graduated, however, the office IT staff still contacts me if something goes wrong. This happens because the website was made using a web framework whose expertise is rare, and which is now...

1 hour later…
11:29 PM
@ExtrovertedMainMan I feel that we let some questions be.. then later if someone points at them, use historical lock. what do you say?
oh you're not an extrovert if you don't reply.
