@all Do you have a good strategy on different formats of media for attachments? For example a video attachment may need both mp4 & webm, an image could have jpeg and webp versions.
it doesn't make sense to have multiple formats of same image/video into two different attachments.

hmmm I've not thought of that before
though for images generally everything accepts the format
webp being the only exception
usually you would use an image service such as photon/jetpack or set up tachyon, or use a CDN to handle that
or for videos use a hosting service

i see
in my project I use a plugin which moves all media to s3 bucket
i have seen solutions using aws cloudfront where webp images are served on the fly.
but for videos the urls actually have to be in the html and on the fly video conversion may not be a good idea
videos can be post processed after uploading to bucket..
in that case if xxxxx.mp4 is uploaded my theme have to assume xxxxx.webm is already there. or I will need to have a pingback from conversion server.

You should be able to ask about this on the main site
not the AWS part
I think?
It might not need code to resolve
I would ask on twitter or on slack at work if it were me dealing with it
then if they didn't have the answer but it was clear it could be solved with code, come here

thank you. really appreciate it. For main site questions I am not yet sure how to format this.
btw, let me know what you find out.
