Hi guys and girls, how do you feel about the serial (often small) edits by @dda?
I am not happy with seeing a whole list edited by one person, have never been and have personally always tried not to do more than three at a time, stopping there when there is no other activity.
Others have different personal rules.
I would like to see the opinions of those of the TSE users who frequent here.
(I have no problems with the edits as such, just by the numbers showing as a single block when looking at the recent activity page of the site.)

@ZachLipton, @JoErNanO, @JonathanReez, @RoryAlsop, @Relaxed, @GregHewgill, @gerrit @all others whom I did not call by name yet.

6:45 PM
@Willeke If it is a very tiny edit, I tend to decline. A post with many tiny edits (for example properly capitalising sentences etc) I'll usually approve. I don't think it matters if it's lots by the same user as long as they are an improvement.
if all the edits are by a single user, I don't see it as a problem

6:59 PM
@Willeke Personally, and this is just me, I've been pretty happy with dda's edits (like, passively thinking of making a "hey, congrats on your gold badge for editing dda" meta post level of happiness), but I understand why others would be dissatisfied
dda's edits are all to new questions, never dredging up anything particularly old
and there aren't usually a ton of them, 6-10 in a row rather than dozens
but some are kind of trivial, if it's just tweaking one word or changing "which" to "that" or something

Thanks. I know I am very sharp about serial edits. That is why I wanted to feel what your opinions are even before talking with the person involved (and based on your reactions, I will not talk with him/her.)

7:22 PM
Just my opinion. Obviously I was a lot more sharp about serial edits previously, when it was hundreds of edits to old questions for trivial reasons, but a fairly small number of edits to recent questions doesn't bother me

It is the general opinion of the people I like to know, as the people who are regulars here are quite familiar with the site, I take the opinion of a few regulars here very serious.
That is telling myself not to worry about it.

@Willeke serial editing is not against StackExchange rules, as long as all the edits are useful. You can ask @dda to change his editing behaviour, but this is not something that requires mod intervention.

8:45 PM
@JonathanReez, I have seen the site going passive (almost dead) because of too many serial edits, I am weary of them. But I know I am very sharp about them, so I wanted to test the water to see whether the regulars think we stand. So far all that have reacted say that they feel it is not too much. So I am not going to talk about it.
Does any of you use Ryanair?
My boyfriend had trouble booking a one way Venice to Bristol (UK) and wondered if the fact he bought from the UK had something to do with it.
I think it might be that he used the wrong browser.

9:28 PM
@Willeke always, always use Chrome. That's what developers are using at 99% of the companies to test things, so other browsers often have bugs
Ryanair's new website works great.
@Willeke I understand your concerns but I believe that we mods cannot go tell dda to stop. And don't worry about the site going dead - in 2017 we've grown by about 30% in traffic, so all is good :)
