@Peter Umm. We've got one on Literature.SE but I don't know how it works.

Just a long shot, but have a peek on the StackApps stack.

@BenI. Hrm?
@Peter Twitter bot as in bot that posts tweets to this room, or something more sophisticated?

12:19 PM
I admit, being older than dirt, that I'm not a big twitter fan. I don't understand what twitter can do for CSEducators. If someone could follow us on twitter, they can join here with fewer security consequences. "Why twitter?" More important IMO than "How twitter?"

We don't currently have a HNQ. Ideas for a good question?

How about what's the difference between an Advanced Placement CS course and an Accelerated CS course in grade 12?

1:26 PM
@s.patroller Not sure what that means, actually. AP has a specific purpose that is well known and understood.

1:49 PM
Seems odd. I'm collecting rep on SciFi for a question I asked there. Even after I accepted an answer. They have a lot more users, though.

@thesecretmaster Something that tweets out new questions
@Buffy For marketing. Get the right hashtag/follower, and you can draw in new people. That's my goal.

Q: Lab Requirement in AP CS A

PeterThe official course description for AP Computer Science A, a high-school level course focusing on OOP using Java, details a 20-hour lab requirement. College Board provides three labs ready-made for teachers to use in class -- Magpie, Picture Lab, and Elevens -- but does not specify that these hav...

@Peter, do you have a link to the base code (handout code) for the AP suggested labs? I can't seem to find it.

4:59 PM
I do, but it’s behind a log-in since it’s a secure document. You have to go into course audit to access it. I can’t disseminate it, but I bet a quick google will turn up student code on GitHub.

5:11 PM
TY. I can ask AP admin for it. I suspect they will let me see it.

6:15 PM
@Peter on the AP classroom projects page I find three different projects: Flocking Birds, Gradebook, and Sudoku. I was able to download the base code after login.

7:04 PM
Whoa...I have not seen those. Where did you found them? They seem new...
They're definitely not in my course audit secure documents. Maybe they're new/in development?

I'll send a link in a bit offline.

@Peter Check your email.

I don't understand how rep is computed sometimes. On a scifi question I show 10 up-votes (I don't have enough rep there to see the breakout). The rep shown, is 50 + 2 for 52. Does anyone know the computation? Or do I earn 2 for accepting an answer?
Nevermind. Found it in the help center.
