@Downgoat not really - I do mainly python because it's most useful for my purposes (numpy) but I do stuff with C and other languages - I always like playing with other languages.
@heather SE chat has built in reply functionality that lets you see which message you're replying to. just hover over it and press the arrow on the right. it really makes it much clearer
@ATaco I don't know about educator -> student, but in terms of nerdy friend -> slightly less nerdy friend - explaining why programming is much more fun than social interaction =P

well, this particular question isn't on-topic there at all - "does a photosensor exist that is sensitive enough to detect a 1.3 nanometer molecule passing in front of it?" - probably more on topic on engineering, or maybe electrical engineering.
