Three new ones just appeared. I'm hoping that that meta comes up with something, because I don't want this to become a permanent cleaning job.

I think that would be a safe assumption. SE is working on a long term solution, but for now all the details are in the meta.se post I linked.

Yeah. It would probobly be possible for SE to delete them by that phone number, but they want to stop the problem from happening again in addition to destroying all the current spam profiles.

A google search on that phone number is a bit interesting. It seems to turn up a lot of spamming all over, not just SE.

Maybe woz needs to return to his phone-phreaking days to help us out.

Okay, I've entered into the big experiment with these most recent two answers. Perhaps the sky will now fall on my head?

The goal is plain enough to see; I want to add value to both online communities of cs educators. Perhaps if this doesn't explode back on me, I should create a second account to post such things (so that my primary account is not the beneficiary of any rep)
