@MarkMayo there's a "yo mama" joke lurking there somewhere

12:40 AM
@phoog, gotcha ;)

@MarkMayo you don't need to put a bounty on it, just send me the link for civic duty.
@JonathanReez in your question, be sure to include a crispy clean definition of 'serial refusals'. It is another one of the TSE original monikers and has no value beyond this site.
But I have seen 'funds parking' occur in the wild. And in context. And WITHOUT crediting TSE. They just say it like everybody is supposed to know what it is LOL
Somebody put this up
Funds parking in the context of international migration is the transfer of funds into one's bank account just before a travel visa application for the purpose of increasing the chances of being granted permission to enter a country. When immigration officers notice unexplained cash deposits in a bank account statement they may assume that they constitute an attempt at funds parking and deny the visa application. The term funds parking comes from the financial term parking. == References... ==
It had to be somebody here. I.e., one of us did that and it was NOT me!

Q: Need Help Filing UK Visitor Visa Application

Zafar AliDo I fill the form all right? for general visitor visa

this is ridiculous. Where is @ZachLipton or @Berwyn when you need them LOL

@GayotFow right here
and yeah, that's not a good looking application
I'm no expert and I can see that

8:54 AM
I gave it a shot

9:11 AM
Welcome your additional input @GayotFow

@GayotFow cool. I'd already put a bounty then was all 'ah, I can ping Gayot on that one'

9:26 AM
@ZachLipton good answer, you showed up in the nick of time. You should discourage that guy, he has the wrong end of the stick!!!

9:56 AM
@ZachLipton we could still use @Berwyn to chime in with is wonderful bon mots

@GayotFow should give the OP credit though for asking before filing their application. Usually we see those cases only when it is too late.

@mts you're right, good point. I forgot that part. An ounce of protection etc etc

2:06 PM
@JonathanReez are you also back-tagging?

@GayotFow what does it mean?

3:00 PM
@chx what made you buy a house in Hungary?
(saw that expats question)

@JonathanReez back-tagging = applying a new tag, like the one for 'serial-refusals' to old questions. I.e., looking through the archives and spotting where the tag should be applied. I did 5 of them already

@MarkMayo you can cancel that bounty, it's very generous but most of my rep has come from your hard-earned rep :)

A: Traveling To Iran with an expired passport

AminSalam, I travelled this route in June 2017 with an expired passport. The KLM staff at the gate had doubts at first but after a quick 1-minute talk with the supervisor, they let me board the aircraft without any issues. According to Iran, it is absolutely no issue to enter with an expired passport...

It is contradicting my answer, but this is the kind of answer we (I) long for on TSE. +1 from me.

@JonathanReez my brother for now is stuck there for various reasons and we couldn't find a school for my nephew so we started one and my brother's living room was not the ideal place for it...

@chx Interesting. Is it an English school?

@GayotFow just pass it on - add a bounty to another question :) For ages now I've always tried to have 3 active bounties, you can too! :)

10:57 PM
@JonathanReez no...? It's a Hungarian primary school -ish. Legally it's not a school so I call it a school-ish :)

11:20 PM
@chx so which part of the Hungarian system did you not like?
if language education wasn't the issue

chx
all of it?
:)

well, it cannot be that bad...

chx
you are wrong
it IS that bad.
it was never particularly good but the Orban government have centralized it all allowing zero flexibility in the classroom
right now you could replace teachers with a security guard and a tape reading out the lesson to them
