I saw a strange sign on a door to a geophysics lab in a museum in Switzerland. I was really curious about what it means and wanted to know if anyone is familiar with this sign.

Only the creature's eye is shown during the movie's run time from 32:37 minutes. It's eye glows, it's in some sort of aquarium. It can be seen behind the augery (Irish Phoenix) in the above mentioned run-time. I'm thinking it’s somekind of a giant squid or an octopus but I'm not sure.
