@Narusan The author change wasn't too bad - the story is still gripping, the characters still recognisable, and there are even some of those vignette chapters that Jordan was so good at. I just have to try not to focus too much on the descriptions of interactions between people, which from Sanderson are usually cringey and repetitive.
Re the Brown/Black you mentioned: yes, it was well done, but I did always have suspicions about her. Ever since she first appeared, when she was an Aes Sedai who seemed to be trusted by default (like Moiraine, for instance) even though we didn't have any particular reason to know she wasn't Black.
For the same reason, I long suspected Sheriam of being Black - I think even since before Salidar.
Oh, and there was definitely some foreshadowing of Blackness about that Brown somewhere in the middle of the series (book 8 or 9 or 10 maybe?) when we learned that she'd picked up some weak form of Compulsion and was using it for some unknown purpose.
Although of course that could have been either Blackness or simply some typical Aes Sedai scheme.
