Q: Manga/manwha/light novel where a girl transmigrates into a villainess and uses science to help her

user158112I’m looking for any story that involves transmigration, romance, and science. I’d prefer a villainess story and/or where the main female lead is a scientist but I’m not really picky. I just love the use of science in stories.

Q: Trying to identify a novella by Poul Anderson

BarnabyI read a novella (or novelette—I don't believe it could have been a short story) that I am almost certain was by Poul Anderson. Hrm. After editing the question down to a single question to get it reopened, the "genetics in Blade Runner" question got edited back into problematic form. :-P
I'm not sure if I should VTC again, or just revert the edit.

If the OP is intent on keeping it in a bad form just comment (if you want to) and VTC. No point getting into a potential edit war with them

@DavidW I think OP edited it more after that?

@Spencer No, the only edit after the re-open vote was to add most of the other questions back in. (Just checked the timeline.) I'll VTC it.
Ack, arg. I can't VTC it, since I already did that once. Doesn't matter that I subsequently voted to re-open it, it doesn't clear that. :-p

2:20 PM
@DavidW Did it for you, in case that helps. OP self-answered, however.

And a marvelous answer it is too.

Q: Was Newt Scamander inspired by Radagast the Brown?

antarcticaAs the title says. Is there a connection between Rowling's Newt Scamander, a wizard zoologist, and Radagast the Brown? Being the latter one of the five magicians of Tolkien's Middle Earth, and the one that was especially concerned with the well-being of plants and animals?

Q: Was Captain Trips mentioned in It?

Danny Mc GI've just finished a long overdue re-read of It by Stephen King, this time I used an ebook. I'm left a bit bemused because of a faint memory I have from the original paper book, I'm convinced that there was a reference made by one character during a conversation. He was mentioning a "killer flu" ...

@DavidW What flavor is it?

@Spencer No idea, I have no desire to be lost at sea. The null hypothesis would seem to be "tastes like chicken" though.
