Welcome to JHT @smarnav :)

enjoy your stay

thank you

so to answer your question from tnb
...i'm tempted to just tell you but this might be a good exercise in searching the atoms reference, which is a very important skill for jelly

jelly is really just a game of atom hide and programmer seek

There are two key things to get with Jelly: how the programs "fit" together, and what the builtins do

in a case like this, it's a very easy search, but sometimes it takes a few tries (like when you've got some "split" builtins and some "partition" builtins and you're not sure which it is you're looking for)

hmm... I was thinking about using a list [1,2,3,...,365] and splitting it, but that will not work, since the dates are independent of the year, eg Q1 does not start on the first of January. This was sort of what I was going to do: 365Rṣ but that wont work because of the above

okay so you did already figure out how to get 365R, good lol'
so yeah as said earlier jelly is very very bad with dates but that's no reason not to try

caird sent it to me about the same time as I found it

@NewPosts I have a hacked together 13 byte Jelly answer. I'm sure there is an elegant solution to this in Jelly, and am offering a bounty of at least +50 (maybe more if I really like it) for such an elegant solution (I'll be the judge of "elegant", but generally, it should be single digit length)

for a second I was worried this was about the date problem

worried?

@UnrelatedString If I got 13 bytes for any problem in Jelly, I officially take the title of "Best Jelly Golfer" from Dennis :P
Them's the rules :P

in other news I think I might see why this is specifically about square matrices
...actually no never mind

2:06 AM
whats the simplest way to remove flasy elements?

falsy

falsy
oh
uh
ewell you can filter by identity

@cairdcoinheringaahing by any chance do you have a jelly test suite for your newest question

2:14 AM
@Razetime Yes, but on my laptop not my phone :/

I keep getting false positives on the all zeros case lmao
maybe I'm relying too much on sums

Plus Unrelated has a cursed one that you can use :P
@UnrelatedString Interesting - I got false positives on the one where the 1s were both in the column and in the rest of the mateix

I got to 10 so far

so the python answer there is pretty much what I'm trying except less shit
yeah I've been thinking more about failing on stray 1s than any other part of this lmao

mmkay I am at 9

2:17 AM
nice

guessI'll post it for now

2:32 AM
f

lool
the fix makes it 13 bytes lmao
