@LinuxBlanket I agree that making the question also takes some work. A question like yours would be much better than something like "Why do you want me to eat that cake and be as fat as you?" or "Are you trying to get me drunk so you can sleep with my boyfriend again?" — Keeta 1 min ago

Negotiation tactic #1 is being aware of the law in the country in question - where I live (the UK), a shop is in the first instance responsible for the quality of goods it sells, not the manufacturer. Nevertheless, if there seemed to be no other issues with the shirt, why not just reattach the button? Sometimes 'don't sweat the small stuff' can be a good tactic... — topo morto 1 min ago

I'm recommending deletion of this answer. I've read through this and thought about how to respond. While I agree in part with the course of action, I have to find that this doesn't answer the question. Instead, this seeks to confront the roommate's bad behavior with OP's behavior. This may be a useful second step, but isn't the first step that is being requested. — baldPrussian 1 min ago

i'd be happy to be drawn while playing haha :D That seems like a very creative way to spend your time. I completely agree with you on the subject, I should do what makes me happy. But streaming/sharing is also caring, being nice shouldn't make me "unhappy". Although I will probably follow your advice and gently decline the offer the way you showed it. — Gil Sand 2 mins ago

@GaurangTandon that is so irritating

Giving a kick to one's mind is not what this site is meant for? This is surprising. Ok then I'm sorry for that. All who don't do better, feel free to downvote once more. — puck 1 min ago

Not really an answer, but have you considered having some offline getting-to-know-them session (whether playing or just having a quick chat) as a requirement for someone to play with you? Have you considered just not letting their audio onto the stream, (possibly) limiting how much they can ruin? Is there some natural stopping point (e.g. between games) where you can say "ok, it's been fun, cheers" and kick them or leave the team or whatever? Have you considered having some specific "you can play with me now" times (or games) for maybe the best of both worlds? — NotThatGuy 38 secs ago

Q: SN1 with mathrm or without it

AbcdRecently I am seeing many post-edits where $\mathrm{S_N1}$ is being formatted to SN1. In my humble opinion, the former looks much better and neater on a computer screen. I'd like to what's the problem with it? Just some $\mathrm{S_N1}$s in a post aren't going to cause any big problem/ time delays...

@DivyankaS.Chaudhari Same here

Gaurang already has a post on it. They agreed not to use mathjax

@MollyCooL Only Martin and Apoorv potnis agreed.

I have no opinion because I don't get things.

Maybe! But $\mathrm{S_N1}$ prints the 1 a bit awAy

@MollyCooL @DivyankaS.Chaudhari @JavaScriptCoder Any idea about Diels Alder reaction?

Nope

If anyone has any clues/ idea about this please help.
Why doesn't it show Diels Alder reaction?

I disagree that the poster should have to dance, or to self-deprecate when not dancing. An individual should stand for their own will, and their own value, and friends should respect that this is not eccentricity! — manglano 59 secs ago

I downvoted this because it neither answers the question nor does it describe how people actually operate. Both men and women use subtext in order to avoid awkward situations, not the other way around. Letting her "make the first move" is totally ambiguous and your answer provides no clarity. A more helpful answer would provide something along the lines of how to even know that she's making moves. — Ravenstine 18 secs ago

+1 for suggesting the OP clearly to at least do something of courage to keep her backbone upright even at the cost office fighting a war. Clearly the OP has growing up adolescence issues and she is unnecessarily being paranoid. What she really needs is a good fcuk ;√} — manav m-n 44 secs ago

@Val To be honest, if by saying "you can keep it" what people really mean is "please take care of my shit for a while", I quit this communication thing. The onus is on the person "giving" the item to make things clear. — Félix Gagnon-Grenier 58 secs ago
