Q: What to do with tutorial requests? -- part II

VincentAs a sequel to my earlier question Changing how we handle low-effort and tutorial-on-demand questions, I'd like to ask some opinions on the current state of the site. In my humble opinion, low-effort tutorial-on-demand questions are swamping the site. Personally, I am very much demotivated by th...

Q: Why do how-to requests bother you?

RyanI'd like to supplement the current discussion a bit with one of my own: For those that are bothered by how-to requests: Why do they bother you? Please try to be honest and specific. It doesn't need to be lengthy and I'm not asking for solutions. I'm asking only what aspect of them bothers you.

Not enough rep to post an answer, but is the game available on Android? If so, and she does agree to cut back, one compromise could be to agree to only play it on an Android emulator on PC. That way she could keep playing when at home, but not be distracted while you're out doing things together. — Milo P 1 min ago

@besinnungslos For future reference (or this time) you might consider writing down your thoughts and feelings first maybe even thinking about it over time. It can help one sort problems out and come up with great solutions/ideas. I suppose I could turn this into an answer but I'm making this as a more general idea - it needn't be specifically about interpersonal communication or communication at all. Never underestimate the power of writing/typing your thoughts/feelings! — Pryftan 1 min ago
