So, there's a simulacrum spell, which creates a copy of you that is slightly weaker and can't regain any spells

Downside of that spell is it takes 12 hours and costs 1500 gold

There is also a wish spell... which makes it so you can cast a 8th lvl or lower spell (which simulacrum is) and cast it without any of the requirements (including gold and time)

So, make sure you can do 2 wish spells, cast the simulacrum spell on you via wish. Instant clone!

Then, make the clone use wish to cast simulacrum on you

Now you have 2 clones, then 3, then 4, then 5, etc

I FORESEE SEE NO PROBLEMS WITH THIS

Well we'd have to wait till lvl 19 =p

Also wish can be used to make a lot of money (and other things)... but it severely weakens for days you and gives a 1/3 chance of never being able to cast wish again

But do you really care if the simulacrum can't cast wish again? Just toss it off a cliff

@Ash Replicating an 8th lvl spell doesn't have any downsides

@Arperum it's just a spell slot at lvl 19, take a long rest (or a short rest once per day!)

So for duplicating a spell, you can go completely crazy.

That is, a spell, no limits. Doesn't have to be one you know, doesn't have to be one that your class can cast

Hmm I just checked the spell slots table, you only get 1 9th lvl slot regardless of level

So, have another spellcaster capable of casting wish? =p

So be with two lvl 19 mages and go create simulacra all day long...
