Q: Hypothetical: What happens to water as pressure increases to infinity?

irthI've asked a similar question here but the answer given shows the behaviour of water under general conditions. I'd like to know what the behaviour of water is like as pressures increase towards infinity without being able to escape it's confinement.. i.e. a ball of water at the core of a galacti...

^possible candidate for merging with the duplicate question. My only quam is that it has 17K views where as the target has 2K. May need to modify keywords for future searches.
NOTE: Posts are by same author, so merging and modifying should be less complicated

@orthocresol Federweißer ;P
@GaurangTandon They moved it to be password protected pluto.chem.washington.edu/Syllabi/Courses.aspx

:(
what can we do now?

@GaurangTandon ^

@AvnishKabaj hehe, if only it was that easy (and also legal) :P

@Martin-マーチン the link seems very close

yeah, still impossible to see which page he was referring to...
the answer is not that golden anyway
I'll run a quick calculation and insert the orbitals

11:36 AM
then we should remove the link, shouldn't we? it does not add any value to the answer

yeah, I'll do that when i have a picture

great :D

if only i could find the source files for the pictures in here.... How to rationalise with MO theory that CO is a two-electron donor through carbon?

it's your own answer :P
#the importance of citing one's sources ;)
try search google for image
i have the SERP but link is too long to fit in this chat's msg

@GaurangTandon I mean i cannot find the svg to modify the picture in my data

12:49 PM
Well. i found the data, but i can't converge the calculation
b2 is a bitch
pardon my french

:(
nvm

> I've never encountered a rationalization that satisfied me.
Sad...
someone who doesn't understand or believe that there is sp mixing really should not answer questions about orbitals
@gaurang I fixed it as well as I could by substituting in a different set of lecture notes... i have no clue what was in there, but i believe this one should cover it.
the funny thing is, that the OP already complained that the link doesn't work, yet still accepted the answer...
