I have a serious case of spring fever. This is the first sunny day in weeks and the first day where you can feel the strength of the sun. Birds have started their spring songs and even our feline senior has a new spring in his steps. The tits and sparrows are complaining loudly about me sitting on the patio with my coffee, which means they don’t dare come to the bird feeders.

But I am also literally sitting on my hands, because of course I am tempted to start the first seedlings. (Which then would become scraggly and ready to go outside well before it’s warm enough or the days are long enough.)

And no, I don’t have a greenhouse or cold frame.

Lucky you, we just got freezing rain over the snow and next up is rain before we return to sub zero temperatures until March. Not even thinking about spring till I see the buds plump up on the trees
