I'll swap for some Texas sun! Yesterday (Sunday) was limited to watering plants in the evening and tying up the peppers. Strangely, the Anchos had all started to fall over, and then go upright so they have L-shaped stalks. The Gypsy (Bells) next to them are about the same size and are being well behaved.

@winwaed i think you're UK born and bred, right? So your gardening comparisons UK v. Texas would be interesting
on a completely different subject i changed my name to Tea Drinker but the chat doesn't seem to have caught up

@hawbsl/@tea drinker. True, but I didn't do that much gardening in the UK. A lot is recollections of what my parents do.
We finally had a house with a garden so I tried to grow stuff to eat. Traditional English veg do not do as well - they need quite a bit of water. Potatoes and onions can be grown but they don't seem to grow as well. So I started growing peppers - hence my answers to all the pepper questions! I guess I'm also attracted to things that are a little unusual (to me) - hence the opuntia / prickly pears.
peppers are nothing like easy to grow here, so enjoy!
