haha hey, how are you?

pretty good
going to a relatives for easter tomorrow, setting up today

I just made a vegan chocolate hazelnut avocado cheesecake for tomorrow :)

O_O
that is
fancy
how long did it take to make?
@Zanna related

3:20 PM
@Riker hmm about half an hour, it was very easy indeed

O_o
doesn't sound liek that :p

1. Toast 100g hazelnuts in oven for 10 min
2. Blitz the hazelnuts to flour in the blender
3. Add 200g sultanas and keep blending until the mixture is sticky
4. Press into a flan dish
5. Peel two avocados and put the flesh into the blender along with 100ml chocolate sweet freedom sauce and 2 generous tbsp cashew buttern, blend until smooth
6. Spread the avo mix on top of the base. melt some dark chocolate and swirl it through.
@Riker yes indeed ^_^

3:36 PM
:P
@Zanna huh, cool
googles 100g to cups

haha cups is a volume measurement
100g is a mass measurement
so it depends on what you are measuring
but I'd say 100g hazelnuts is about 3/4 of a cup

ah

and 200g sultanas is maybe 1.25

4:22 PM
@Zanna you need to put **before&after** to show before&after

hmm?

@Riker what is Easter?

bold formatting?

@Zanna yes

@Fawad it is a Christian festival.

4:24 PM
@Zanna sounds delicious

According to the Bible, Jesus was crucified and then rose from the dead on the third day. On Easter day, Christians celebrate the Resurrection (return from the dead) of Christ
However, I believe the word Easter comes from the name of a pagan (pre-Christian) goddess of Spring and new life called Eostre

@Zanna I see, we hat it has to do with shape of egg?

@Fawad nothing at all!
The whole chocolate egg thing seems to relate more to the idea of Spring and new life

You celebrate by eating Easter egg?

sorta yea

4:27 PM
basically in Europe the Christian festival of Easter absorbed the pre-Christian Spring festival
(that's my theory anyway)
@Fawad :D thanks. Hopefully it will be good

@Zanna lol,you didn't tasted while making?

I kind of tasted it - I tasted the base mixture and the filling mixture before adding the extra chocolate, but it needs to stay in the fridge overnight to be really finished, and I haven't eaten it all together

Good,happy Easter @evry Christian :)

Just wondering how a tag would go over.
Seems like something that would be of interest to many users here, and is a specific type of question.
I could probably even bug my mother and find some answers if that was a tag...
@Riker - should I bother raising that on meta?

we have

But that's not the same thing, exactly, especially considering how that's currently being used.

hmm goes to look
possibly we should have instead of
we have no usage guidance
we have

Sounds like a good idea, but I don't even really use this site (yet) so don't trust what I say...

Q: An idea to make the [recipes] tag less vague

ZannaI think cooking and recipes should be clearly distinguished. Presently the questions in recipes seem to be mainly requests for recipes. To prevent confusion, I suggest creating recipe-request and making recipes a synonym of it. We can then write intuitive usage guidance accordingly.
