@k1m190r while ⍣ is pretty fun, a lot of APL golfing revolves around removing it in favour of a shorter method

Anyone now how to get this:

      ⎕XML 0 'h1' '<b>Hello</b>'
<h1>&lt;b&gt;Hello&lt;/b&gt;</h1>

to yield this instead:

<h1><b>Hello</b></h1>

I must be missing something obvious. Don't think its variant, and its no CDATA either.

The docs say "However, markup, if present, is not validated and it is possible to generate invalid XML if care in not taken with markup constructs" which seems to imply its possible.

depending on what you're doing is it worth doing it 'manually' instead?

@rak1507 I'm rewriting old, manual code that predated ⎕XML, so I have code that already does it.

But ⎕XML offers nice features, and of course does it in much less code, and probably much faster.

yeah, I looked in the docs and tried some stuff but couldn't get anything to work, maybe Morten knows
