What's the fastest Array based GCD algorithm?

@Razetime doubt there's anything much better than the regular recursive one

what are some good resources to exercising apl knowledge and problem sets?

@AqeelHashim problems.tryapl.org is good, as is advent of code

leetcode and other sites were more focused string manipulation

As you improve, Project Rosalind is excellent, too.

thank you, i was struggling to find problemsets that allow me yo explore array manipulation as a beginner as opposed to reframing an existing problem to work in an array programming language
rosalind.info/problems/list-view is this more complex?

10:31 AM
@AqeelHashim from my experience they are pretty hard
some are easy, but it gets difficult quickly

The Rosalind problems span huge a range of difficulty. You can usually tell from how many correct answers there are.

alright i guess it's a good resource for going further as i learn more skills
does apl orchard have more active users and interactions than the discord and matrix rooms?

I'm not sure about the actual count of messages, but I do think it is more well-suited for those that are learning APL.

there's a lot of overlap so pretty similar really

Quite a cross-over, I'd say. I prefer this.

10:34 AM
@Adám yeah. matrix/discord certainly have a much bigger volume of messages, but this place is quite more organized & focused

@dzaima idk #apl is fairly focused as opposed to something like #off-topic
either way, if you ask an apl question in either one, it'll get answered

yeah

10:55 AM
yeah the content here is more catered to exploring apl
the discord felt a little too deep for me, it is cool to see the ideas and solutions but it goes over my head
are there resources for apl in actuarial science?

May i ask for the links of the discord/matrix channels?

@AqeelHashim Not sure how APL code for actuarial science would differ from other APL code. Finance is one of the sectors where APL maintains a significant usage.

are there resources for learning apl for specific domains like actuarial-science or is it something i have to approach separately? I was just curious, of course I understand the reality that apl is not as mainstream so content is less available compared to PLs like C++

Thank you for the link :) found these too as i was browsing around: aplwiki.com/wiki/Forums

@AqeelHashim I don't think there'd be anything special to learn. Maybe formulas like these can be of interest? ;-)

me: still hasnt learnt apl.

2:32 PM
@pVCaecidiosporeadduced We can fix that.

@Adám how?
it will take time

and effort, yes, but it'll be fun!

2:48 PM
@pVCaecidiosporeadduced You won't regret it.

how come ⎕JSON converts false to 'false' rather than 0?
