@DJMcMayhem did you know this game before the vid?
DJMcMayhem
@flawr Yeah, I played it a bit a long time ago, but the puzzles were way too hard so I gave up.
flawr
@DJMcMayhem nice, and remember that you can replace the pi/2 with pi/2 + 2*pi*n for every n
@DJMcMayhem I just added it to my wishlist after watching the video
DJMcMayhem
And I think I had it on steam cause of some sale, but now I have it on my phone since that makes me way more likely to play it. (It's definitely a game that's more appropriate for mobile)
@flawr If you get it on mobile, the first 10 levels are free!
flawr
How are the controls on mobile?
El'endia Starman
Swipe with one finger to move up/down/left/right, use two fingers to pan/zoom.

I've never had a problem with the controls on PC or phone. I probably slightly prefer phone controls, but the difference is pretty minimal
It's super nice that the undo button is there and easy to use a bunch of times, since without it the game would be like 7,213,513,254 times harder
flawr
@DJMcMayhem that is an oddly specific number
DJMcMayhem
@flawr Does that mean that
i^i == e^3pi/2 == 111.31777849
is just as correct as
i^i == 0.20787957635
?
@flawr You are correct
flawr
@DJMcMayhem I don't think this works, wouldn't you need e^(5pi/2)? (it must be of the form 2*pi*n + pi/2)
@DJMcMayhem and it has only 3 prime factors
El'endia Starman
@DJMcMayhem It would be
very
frustrating without an undo button.
DJMcMayhem
@flawr It's actually
i * i * -3π/2
@El'endiaStarman How far have you played it?
flawr
6:11 PM
@DJMcMayhem you're right! yes it jsut depends on the context. I mean we already have a similar problem in the real numbers. what is 1^(1/2)?
we already have to choose between -1 and 1
El'endia Starman
@DJMcMayhem IIRC I've solved up to level 6.
DJMcMayhem
@flawr True, but it's a tad easier to choose between two options rather than infinity :P
El'endia Starman
That was within the ~30-40 minutes I played it yesterday.
flawr
@DJMcMayhem it is both countable, so it must be almost the same :D
DJMcMayhem
After 6 they become non-linear
Nathan Merrill
6:34 PM
having you three talk about two different math subjects is really confusing
El'endia Starman
6:59 PM
Snakebird is math? :P
DJMcMayhem
Everything is math!
