@El'endiaStarman Speaking of sign language, I saw this Reddit thread: reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/a3pvg1/…
It was very interesting

@DJMcMayhem That's a great thread. I can corroborate a lot of it.

@El'endiaStarman Sure, but I didn't expect there to be so much variety, considering the number of sign-speakers (sign-signers? what do you call people who "speak" a sign language?)
@DJMcMayhem haha this is so fun:)

@flawr Just "signers". :)
And it's not about numbers, but rather more about the degree of isolation. A highly connected community will have a relatively common language/dialect whereas isolated groups will see divergence from one another.

3:43 PM
Ah that makes sense, I think those dialects here roughly correspond to the location of the schools.

4:09 PM
Yeah, that would make sense. I think the dialectal regions in the USA are quite a bit larger. Like, bigger than states, probably.

@flawr That's really cool.

I was so tempted to make a pun

Was it a really spacial pun?

It was out of this world.

Feels good when you get a pun just right:)

Oh yeah, for sure. :)
