So, my phone officially died yesterday (after 3 or so years of use): The middle of the touchscreen doesn't register touches any more. The crazy part is that I can still use my phone: By rotating my phone, using split screen features, and other small tweaks, I can generally get whatever I want to touch in the non-dead zone

The flexibility of phones nowadays is pretty amazing

IIRC one of my prior phones got run over by a truck or something and I kept using it for another month or so. (It wasn't a smartphone.)

I think the screen started giving out and then my parents were like "you need a new phone" and found some friend/acquaintance with a used phone they could give me.

Yeah, my old phone would still work...I think. My kids have gotten to it as a toy, so it might not have survived that
