@Chocolate It always seems puzzling to me why so many users are shown as "banned" on that forum. It seems a lot of established users with hundreds or even thousands of posts are now "banned"
I think the translation "as one would expect" often misses the mark for さすが (even in reference to others). It's close but a little more complicated than that.

I just fixed some issues in this answer. I think this is a great answer, especially excellent in its rending of all the example sentences.
But there is one line I am not sure about:

"meritous" seems to be a typo for "meritorious", but I have no idea why the author put it there. doesn't seem to fit
