I have it set to Arial. I was mainly wondering because I think you are falling back to something which causes the behavior, and that's one place that's different across browsers.

:P I think the problem might be with Liberation Sans/Liberation Mono, it renders the combining char after rather than before in those fonts for me

Notice that the c with the curl on the bottom of it is fairly clearly coming from another font.

I'm not sure how to determine what font it's coming from, but that's probably whatever is causing the issue.

hang on a minute, Liberation Mono only has the problem for me if I put "Liberation Mono,DejaVu Sans Mono" in the CSS and not "Liberation Mono", so I also think it's a font fallback issue
