Q: What is special about the number 2017?

LegomanA new year is coming, I know that $2017$ is a prime number but - Are there other nice properties to make it special? EDIT: I read the comments, and I agree that the question is too vague. Whit other proprieties I mean something like : $2017$ is the smallest natural numbers such that... or other ...

Like any other natural number, it is certainly interesting.

@Arthur very nice paradox! I didn't know it! ;)

Again, such query has been asked! In the previous year I had post : "What is special about the number 2016?" when I saw "What is special about the number 2015?". Then both of these post were deleted. This post should be delete! Yes.

This question is to broad. There are litteraly thousands of ways a particular number is special and that's not a property that is special to 2017.
@Rohan Because it's to broad - that's why you can get a multitude of answers, but none of them answers the question completely.

@Rohan, What is special about the number 2016? has more that 25 answers and more than 100 up votes, similarly my post too.

Not only are $2017$ and $17$ prime, $20+17=37$ and $20-17=3$ are prime as well.

That edit doesn't change the problem, the question is still to broad. See the link Arthur links to - the proof that any number is interesting uses such construct. Not only is every natural number "the smallest number such that..", it's that in infinite number of ways (probably non-countable number of ways).

What I do not understand : Why was the question "What is special about 2016 ?" not considered to be too broad ? What is the difference to the question here ?

@Peter, sorry, What is special about 2015 ? has more answers and up votes. When I saw that I posted What is special about 2016 ? to get more attention and reputation. Then people criticize that both were too broad now after my that post.
People criticize that we can not ask such query like: What is special about 2015 ? What is special about 2016 ? What is special about 2017? What is special about 2018 ? What is special about 2019 ? and so on....

There was a question Is there something special about 2015? (now deleted - here is related discussion on meta).

The $2015$ question currently has 7 undelete votes, so will probably be undeleted shortly. Topicality of questions like this has always been controversial.

@BillDubuque, so why not my post should be undeleted?

@Martin Further, worth emphasis, is that the closing (which enabled deletion) of the 2015 question was the product of extreme abuse of binding close votes by the moderator Arthur Fischer, who voted 3 times to close it, each time short-circuiting the community process. If not for that it probably never would have had the potential to be deleted. So the opinion on that question is certainly not a fair reflection of the community.
@MithleshUpadhyay What post?

Reason for deleted the post about $2015$ was my post $2016$ similar as $2015$ as I have commented above. But, I am unable to see my that post right now, because of deletion of removed thread. @BillDubuque .

@MithleshUpadhyay Please give a link to your post that your refer to.

@BillDubuque, this the deleted link : math.stackexchange.com/questions/1483053/…
@BillDubuque, it needs two undelete vote to open that.

@MithleshUpadhyay Indeed, it already has my undeletion vote.

$2017$ is a Friedlander-Iwaniec prime, i.e. a prime of the form $a^2+b^4$. The previous year with such a property was $1777$, the year C.F. Gauss was born.
