Q: I started a bounty, but I don't like the answers!

Seth JIf I am unsatisfied by the answers on a question with a bounty that is set to expire soon, can I cancel the bounty? What am I supposed to do to get better answers??

@Ali I am the one who closed-cum-migrated it. I agree that asking it on judaism.se and asking it on history.se will get you different types of answers. But it was off-topic on judaism.se. So I could've just closed it, and you'd get no answer, or migrated it to history.se, and you'd get answers you perhaps were unhappy with. I figured the latter is a better course of action.

@DoubleAA Seems chabadtalk.com is back up. Absolutely no mention on their website that I can see. Strange.

5:04 AM
@DoubleAA, thanks for clearing up my confusion about "Ashre". Now it all makes sense.

@msh210 No problem :)
I found a bunch of other pesukim too that mention maskilim so don't be surprised if that shows up again.
Currently the funniest:
יקוק משמים השקיף על בני אדם לראות היש משכיל דרש את אלהים
Psalms 14 2

@DoubleAA :-) I wonder whether He found one.

Yodeyans, please print out O-Cmon stickers and put them on your Mishloach Manot!

@DoubleAA judaism.stackexchange.com/questions/14951/… is correct. We should have created a joke account or two for this.

@msh210 +1 horribly abusive
Anyone here know how to make viral Youtube videos?

6:00 AM
@IsaacMoses Get someone with lots of fans to post it for you from his account?

@msh210 How do you get to Carnegie Hall?

b a
@DoubleAA Repeated almost exactly in chapter 53.

@msh210 No, not how to make Youtube videos viral. We can launch viral stuff here, as demonstrated in the case of @SethJ's friend on Thanksgiving and Chanuka. How to make the videos in the first place.

@IsaacMoses LMGTFY.
@IsaacMoses Ah. That I don't know. Surely YouTube has a guide...?

@msh210 Skilz, man, we need skilz.

@IsaacMoses What video are you thinking of making?

@msh210 One example would be a video ad for O-Cmon

@IsaacMoses At a time most Jewish communal organizations are struggling for funds, I'm surprised O-Cmon is looking to hire an advertising agency.
I'm glad it's doing so well.

@msh210 O-Cmon is a prosumerist movement that's powered by the people, maaaan, not by centralized, Twentieth-Century-Jewish-Federation-style fundraising!

6:11 AM
@IsaacMoses Yes, of course, how could I forget.
I'll make sure my next purchase of weed comes with a hechsher.

@msh210 I was trying to think of something new to photo and post as an answer on the O-Cmon post. Thanks for making clear what that has to be. I just need to get over to Colorado within the next couple of weeks ...

@Michoel hi
Feb 3 at 17:03, by msh210
@Michoel Turns out it's Weiss in Melbourne I'm related to. I'm also related to Hedy Goldschmiedt in Sydney (owners, or they were, of Gold's s'farim store). (Yes, I know it's a long way from Melbourne to Sydney, and, no, I'm not expecting you to know people there.)
Well, good night, @IsaacMoses, @Michoel, @SethJ, Shog9. Shavua tov and a happy Adar.

@msh210 @msh210 Tadir, Layla, Shavua', Chodesh, and Eino Tadir Tov.

6:36 AM
@msh210 Oh hi! Sorry had a couple things in my inbox that day when I woke up and then it just slipped my mind
@msh210 Golds in Melbourne is owned by someone in Sydney? Don't know either of them though..

@IsaacMoses Reminds me of a purim torah I once heard. The Shunamite's husband asks her why she is going to the navi, because לא חודש ולא שבת. Aye, what about Tadir? It is Tadir because more often it isn't חדש than it isn't שבת.

@msh210 thanx may i know what made it off topic here as i asked something only from jewish history and scriptures

7:52 AM
@Ali I see nothing about scripture in the question. And Jewish history is explicitly off-topic

Ali
8:08 AM
i asked about jewish sources like talmud mentioning about jesus's non claim to divinity @msh210

Can anyone here recommend a good kosher tequila?
Alternatively, can anyone tell me whether it's possible to determine if a tequila (reposado) manufactured in Mexico is kosher?

9:09 PM
@eykanal For the latter, I'd recommend a good site I know where you can ask such questions.

9:42 PM
@msh210 - I thought that one would be "too localized"

About this question, what I'm trying to figure out is whether I'd be frustrated in an O community. What I have seen suggests I would be -- that things are built around assumptions of traditional gender roles that don't resonate with me. I tried very hard to write the question in a way that doesn't sound critical (different != bad and I don't want people to think I think it is), and in so doing I seem to have made it too vague. Help?

I'll post it and see what happens, I guess :)

@MonicaCellio Seems fine to me. +1ed already :)

Does j.se really support blatant motzi shem ra and lashon hara in a question? I don't understand how this question hasn't been closed outright.
