@Mithical thank you, God bless you
@Mithical you play Elite Dangerous?
I don't know what that is so I think a "no" would be a safe bet
4:34 PM
Ok. Just to give you context, feel free to ignore. It's a video game set in a simulation of the full milky way galaxy, but also intertwined with a sci fi futuristic story. In it, players names always begin with "commander", therefore the o7 emote became very popular and tbh i've never seen it anywhere else
i was actually very big there. I, to my credit and perhaps shame as a rabbi, created 2 events that attracted media attention and thousands of participants, to cross the galaxy
i am proud of it, because it was a very fine affair, where all participants made friends, had something wholesome and nice to do, and it was all round a great experience
if you or anyone reading is interested, check out "Distant Worlds expedition for elite dangerous", part 1 and 2
I am "Dr. Kaii" in that context
5:10 PM
@RabbiKaii Is he of Ashkenazi Jewish descent, by any chance? ;)
I have cousins in England: Ilford and Catford. Last time I was there was 25 years ago, for a wedding.
5:50 PM
@IsaacMoses crazy enough he is sefardi and not from those locations. A long lost cousin perhaps
6:06 PM
@RabbiKaii Plenty of Sefaradim with Ashkenazim in their ancestry :)
... including the bride from that wedding (my cousin)'s children!
6:31 PM
we might be on to something now
