Even if all the questions were of superb quality, it seems a bit much. At this point it’s almost all you see when visiting the site. The homepage for non-logged in users displays 15 questions. 11 of these are currently PTIJ, including all of the top 7.
The Shulchan Aruch OC (303:24) writes:

@JoelK What is your intent in editing the titles of old PTIJ posts? We don't need to bump all of the old posts just to add "PTIJ:".
@Alex If you think a PTIJ post is not a good use of the Mi Yodeya platform, taking into account the PTIJ policy, then you should consider downvoting it.
@IsaacMoses They had just been edited by another user and were therefore already at the top of the homepage. I took the opportunity to add PTIJ to the title to conform with current policy
If the community prefers that we don't do that then I'll desist in future
@JoelK Sorry; I hadn't noticed the previous edits. I think we should apply the general standard for edits to old posts "Edits should be substantial". I agree with your behavior of fixing the titles once they're already on the front page.
@IsaacMoses @DoubleAA can you tell me more about the different close reasons you use for different PTiJ questions? Looks like you have one type for "this isn't really purim torah, try again" and another for "this was purim torah last year, but it's not purim anymore"
one is custom close reason, the other is custom text?
@YaakovEllis They're both custom reasons. We activate the "this isn't really PTIJ" during the season, and we activate "the season is over" briefly at the end of the season, when we do clean-up.
In the mean time, we make room by temporarily deactivating one of the other custom reasons.
@YaakovEllis IIRC there are two "end of season" close reasons in the system. I think one is just older and used for a few years before we made a new one for some reason. I don't have the search capability to identify when, but honestly they could probably be merged.

@YaakovEllis I hadn't realized that in general, people without close/reopen privileges can no longer see custom close reasons at all. Why is that? That makes it harder for them to "improve this question" effectively, and it makes it harder for us to use these reasons to promote understanding of our scope.
