Can we get a general "How to do teshuva" question and flag all of the "how to do teshuva for X" questions as duplicates?

Q: PTIJ: Are Jews allowed to fight with one another?

Maurice MizrahiThe prophet Isaiah said [Is. 2:4]: לֹא־יִשָּׂ֨א ג֤וֹי אֶל־גּוֹי֙ חֶ֔רֶב Goy shall not lift up sword against goy. Are Jews exempted from this injunction? This question is Purim Torah and is not intended to be taken completely seriously. See the Purim Torah policy.

Has anyone thought about revisiting this?

Q: Maximum limits on PTIJ questions per user

Y     e     zIn another post, suggestions for improving the quality of PTIJ material were discussed. In the highest voted answer there, one suggestion was to impose a limit of how many PTIJ questions each user may post in one PTIJ season. The post also included another detail, which was included in at least...

My opinion remains the same
I'll point out that even among users who post many PTIJ questions, the average post score is considerably higher than non-PTIJ questions
So if people don't like the questions, they should downvote

@DonielF Around here you can get any question you want.

Even if all the questions were of superb quality, it seems a bit much. At this point it’s almost all you see when visiting the site. The homepage for non-logged in users displays 15 questions. 11 of these are currently PTIJ, including all of the top 7.
כל שכן if some of them are not of superb quality.

Q: What stone prevents miscarriage?

NJMThe Shulchan Aruch OC (303:24) writes: יוצאה באבן תקומה [פי' הערוך אבן ידועה שכשהיא על אשה לא תפיל] - women are allowed to walk outside on shabbos with an even tekuma used to prevent miscarriages. The Mishna Berura (303:77) quotes the Taz identifying this stone as: היינו מה שאנו ק...

@JoelK What is your intent in editing the titles of old PTIJ posts? We don't need to bump all of the old posts just to add "PTIJ:".
@Alex If you think a PTIJ post is not a good use of the Mi Yodeya platform, taking into account the PTIJ policy, then you should consider downvoting it.

@IsaacMoses They had just been edited by another user and were therefore already at the top of the homepage. I took the opportunity to add PTIJ to the title to conform with current policy
If the community prefers that we don't do that then I'll desist in future

3:18 PM
@JoelK Sorry; I hadn't noticed the previous edits. I think we should apply the general standard for edits to old posts "Edits should be substantial". I agree with your behavior of fixing the titles once they're already on the front page.

@IsaacMoses @DoubleAA can you tell me more about the different close reasons you use for different PTiJ questions? Looks like you have one type for "this isn't really purim torah, try again" and another for "this was purim torah last year, but it's not purim anymore"
one is custom close reason, the other is custom text?

@YaakovEllis They're both custom reasons. We activate the "this isn't really PTIJ" during the season, and we activate "the season is over" briefly at the end of the season, when we do clean-up.
In the mean time, we make room by temporarily deactivating one of the other custom reasons.

@YaakovEllis IIRC there are two "end of season" close reasons in the system. I think one is just older and used for a few years before we made a new one for some reason. I don't have the search capability to identify when, but honestly they could probably be merged.

@DoubleAA Eh. I assume there's [practically] no limit on deactivate close reasons.

@IsaacMoses It's always confusing for me which to reactivate for out of season posts. Anyway he should know about all of them in case he's working on an answer to judaism.meta.stackexchange.com/questions/5288/…
Oh I see he commented there. Nice

@DoubleAA Oh, I see :)

4:11 PM
@YaakovEllis I hadn't realized that in general, people without close/reopen privileges can no longer see custom close reasons at all. Why is that? That makes it harder for them to "improve this question" effectively, and it makes it harder for us to use these reasons to promote understanding of our scope. I'm sure you've addressed this on MSE; if you have a link handy, I'd appreciate it. — Isaac Moses ♦ 57 secs ago

Given that ^^^, I guess I recommend more frequently leaving comments to explain off-topic closures and not just relying on the specific close notice.

5:45 PM
@IsaacMoses it is explained a few times on the big post notices post on mse. Tldr for low rep users, the extra info just isn't needed, can be confusing. Extra info provided to users who have rep to reopen
I am considering something that may work for this though
That said, it could change. In the middle of big rework on close UX

@YaakovEllis Thanks for all your hard work on this stuff and for looking into a solution for PTIJ

6:18 PM
@IsaacMoses מי יודע is always close to my heart. And I look forward to PTiJ season all year. If I can help (big if, bli neder), will be for selfish reasons.

@YaakovEllis מתוך שלא לשמה בא לשמה

I didn't vote on this, but maybe the downvoters are thinking about the Purim Torah policy. Yes, you're inviting a "distinctly Torah style analysis of some secular issue", but your question doesn't contain any. — Fred 1 hour ago

Q: PTIJ: Who should I vote for? (23rd Knesset Edition)

finksOne year ago Scimonster asked who we should vote for for the 21st Knesset. Well, luckily for us we get another opportunity to answer that question. Since the question has not changed that much I will quote the rules used last time: Please provide sources that "specifically mention"* a candida...

Q: PTIJ: What happened to Reuven's tie?

Moshe KatzIn telling the story of the sale of Yosef, the Torah says that Reuven suggested putting Yosef in the pit so that he could come back and save him later. When Reuven came back to discover that Yosef was no longer there, he said: וַיָּ֥שָׁב אֶל־אֶחָ֖יו וַיֹּאמַ֑ר הַיֶּ֣לֶד אֵינֶ֔נּוּ וַֽאֲנִ֖י ...
