I was thinking of someone mentioning the story with R. Yaakov Kaminetzky.
It may have been a comment though.
I think it was this:

A: Science of the Rishonim on "celestial spheres"

Isaac MosesI was looking to confirm my side comment about R' Yaakov Kamenetsky to msh210 in the comments on the question and found on Hirhurim the following quotation from Emes Le-Ya'akov, which addresses part of your question directly (Emes Le-Ya'akov al Ha-Torah, Gen. 1:1, 5761 revised edition pp. 15-16):...

Q: Did any Achronim comment on the American Revolutionary or Civil Wars?

ShalomI've heard that for instance, in the 1800s, the American rabbis in the South were pro-slavery, and the American rabbis in the North opposed to it. But what were the views towards America of the more-famous "Acharonim", rabbis from (in this case) the 1700s and 1800s, who are famous for their writ...

Q: How did Gdoley Israel react to the landing on the Moon?

Al BerkoIMHO, landing on the Moon did/could seriously undermine the bases of the Jewish religious view about the nature of the celestial bodies. Just in case anyone's confused, I'm still me! (the poster formerly known as Shokhet)
I've been meaning to change my username and profile picture for a while, but figured I should probably change one at a time to minimize confusion about who exactly I am :p

@TRiG Related: The Christian "Lord's Prayer" apparently has Jewish paternity, like Christianity itself. judaism.stackexchange.com/questions/90360/… But yeah; claims of ecumenicism tend to invite my suspicion.

@IsaacMoses I didn't know that, but it makes perfect sense.

@MonicaCellio There is also a CEO switch by the SE. If a new CEO is coming, he will have probably different ideas as the previous one; which can result also personal "changes". And the NY central of the SE is big (100+), and most of the people working there don't have too much to do to the actual SE site network. They are marketing managers and similar positions. This might reason the many, not really overthought recent changes, and also your firing. I wish you good luck on the court.
