Has anyone read this answer? In more than a day it has received no upvotes, no downvotes, and no comments. I have posted nearly 500 answers and very rarely has an answer to a brand new question (and the only posted answer at that) received no feedback whatsoever. (This is not a complaint; I'm genuinely curious, especially since I know that the answer was rather long-winded which might discourage people from reading it.)

@Alex the question currently has 44 views -- looks like the title and opening few words of the question aren't drawing people in, so they don't get as far as the answer. Just speculating, but perhaps you can think of an edit that might improve that?

@Alex Unfortunately, I suspect that we don't have nearly as broad a base of readers/voters/editors for lomdus Q&A as we do for other major realms of Torah, such as applied Halacha and Parshanut.

@Alex felt long/complex and hard to digest in middle of the day. Where feasible, a short summary up to might help. But I had the same reaction when I posted (what I thought was) a very nice dvar Torah in response to a relevant question and got no reactions. In general, I sense that short answers to easy to understand questions get the most reactions. I'd also say that 499/500 answers where you feel happy with the reactions is quite a nice score :->

I also picked up a set of questions on kashrut as my exercise for last week for Answer-a-thon and am struck by how little reactions I got. There my sense is that many are afraid of the questions on tricky topics (which is also why they stayed un-answered). But for me, as long as it pushes me to think, research, learn, the exercise is worth it

@Alex do you also see your name on the left of the chart, with 38.4k points of reputation? This is double of what you have. Either a bug or because there are 2 Alexes ?

@Alex I read it. It's an interesting idea and thank you for taking the time and effort to answer but — as you admit — it's a חידוש. Moreover, it's a חידוש that you don't really provide any evidence for and which the wording of תוס׳ doesn't seem IMO to support, which is why I didn't upvote it.

(I say the wording doesn't seem to support it because even in the answer they call it a ג״ש.)
