Hi everyone, some shameless promotion: for those interested in any variant of Hebrew and related languages, the Area 51 proposal for Semitic Languages may be of interest.

Is there any way to measure the participation of active users? I recently asked questions on other sites and within a matter of hours they had garnered more views than all my Mi Yodeya questions combined had garnered in all time. Both of those cites have many more registered users than Mi Yodeya, but they do not have many more active questions. In fact one of them has significantly fewer active questions. >cont.
<cont. Do Mi Yodeya users simply ask more questions or vote less? Can one measure the per capita question rate or voting rate?

@Alex There's the secret Participation tab judaism.stackexchange.com/users?tab=participation but it's very black boxy

Q: Dealing with incorrect answers

AlexSuppose an answer is blatantly incorrect. (E.g. it quotes a Talmudic passage to answer the question, but the passage in question actually says the exact opposite.) I would assume that normally the best thing to do would be to downvote and leave a comment explaining that the answer is incorrect. ...

Q: Primary vs Secondary sources

AlexMany answers on Mi Yodeya include sources, often from rabbinic literature. Many times the entire answer can be a quotation from such a source. I would think that the simplest and best way to pose a source-based answer is to simply say "Source A says XYZ". A can be a Talmudic passage and XYZ can...

@DoubleAA What is that based on? Just reputation?
@DoubleAA Also, I was thinking more of a measurement of total combined participation of Mi Yodeya users, as opposed to individual participation.

@Alex No, this is sorted by reputation judaism.stackexchange.com/users?tab=reputation

Q: How is meta participation calculated?

hexafractionOn per-site metas, users are given a rank based on meta participation, and this ranking is seen on the default tab of the users page on each per-site meta. How is this participation numerically calculated to give a ranking? Is it by votes? Something else? Are community wiki posts included in this?

A: What are the hidden features of Stack Exchange?

MartinOn per-site-metas, there is a tab for showing users by participation. According to the tooltip it shows: Users most active in the last 60 days (combined number of posts, votes, comments and edits). The URL for this tab is https://[site].meta.stackexchange.com/users?tab=participation. The main ...

Okay, that's helpful. I wonder, though if there is something that calculates total views of posts across all users sitewide, and/or a place that shows every profile's "last seen" in one place, so that we could get a picture of the relationship between number of users visiting the site and number of views (or number of votes).
