@IsaacMoses I am not interested in pursuing the topic anyway, and only did so since I was repeatedly pinged. I agree that this is not the place for it, (not to imply that it would be appropriate elsewhere) and if you want to delete the thread, that's fine.

@Scimonster I guess more precisely, more of the people who voted Isaac as one voted you for two. Those are the votes that get partially redistributed when Isaac is elected. Daniel might still have more second place votes total than you from the ballots with you as one (for instance, if all the ballots with Daniel as one had you as three).

Either way the two of you were facing pretty insurmountable odds. I don't know that anyone here would stand a chance against Isaac for one mod spot, even any of the three prior mods.

I'm taking this JLI class, which applies talmud to modern legal cases -- sort of "what would a beit din do with this case" stuff. I couldn't take my usual session this week so I joined the daytime one, and I was one of the only non-lawyers in the room. The class gives CLE credits; not sure why/how, but fulfilling a professional obligation via torah study is interesting.

(Normally I wouldn't be able to attend a daytime class, but this time it meets right in my building. That's handy!)
