@YeZ we received a request to do so (from someone who wants to answer), we're willing to selectively re-open old PT questions if asked, and this one was three years old so it's been out of circulation for a while.

@Scimonster we bought an amp from DAK that came with software to produce the initial wav files. (I think it's Windows-only; we started this back when we were still using Windows at home.) We then used Amadeus Pro (Mac) to clean up the results (tape hiss, split into tracks, etc) and export to MP3.

So, the Sunday after Purim is when i can manually put it back.

I forget what we used to do the MP3 tagging -- something with a bulk feature so we could tag an entire album with everything but track titles, then step through and do those. I can't remember if that's built into Amadeus Pro; it might be. Anyway, the $40 I spent for AP was worth every cent; I found it way easier to figure out than Audacity (which is free).

Fair as in there is no policy guiding the voter in deciding if a joke answer is considered correct

@Scimonster I'm not familiar with Israeli elevation patterns, so I even though I can picture that elevation easily, I can't figure out what type of weather results

@NoachmiFrankfurt We have year-round nice weather. Not too hot in the summer, and it hardly ever dips below freezing in the winter. Rainy winter though.

@Yehuda I made a point of commenting on your now-deleted post because I was not singled out. Regardless of how any individual feels (or would hypothetically feel) about being singled out like that, I don't think it is appropriate behavior bein adam l'chaveiro.

@Scimonster for sure, it also cools it down when it gets hot (although the humidity can be pretty outrageous around here)
