@WAF Thanks. Man, 9am? I didn't check the time in the email and assumed it would be in the afternoon.

WAF
And speaking of passive aggression, should I have been more explicit or less explicit (or said nothing at all) here? meta.judaism.stackexchange.com/questions/262/…
@IsaacMoses Heh, yeah. It's a good thing they sent that email ahead. I'm glad I made the time to lurk there for a while.

@WAF Should I bother scanning the rest, or just go with those two pointers?
@WAF Did you have to use so many big words?

WAF
@IsaacMoses There was a third discussion about invalidating comment flags. If you like that, just read through the bottom third. It's very much not an issue around here.

@WAF I find it amusing that the same guy made a proscriptive meta-comment elsewhere in the same breath. judaism.stackexchange.com/questions/8852/…

WAF
@IsaacMoses Um. . . What would you have recommended? A syllable cap?
@IsaacMoses Yes, there is good meta-style irony I tried not to make too much out of. . .

2:38 PM
@WAF Nah; it just seems like the more philosophical the language used in responding to people like that, the more likely they'll ignore you as "one of them." On the other hand, you're not just talking to him, so you may as well say what you mean.
... I'm happy that you left those comments.

WAF
@IsaacMoses I should have stated "I am one of us."

@WAF I suppose the ♦ on your forehead does that already.

WAF
@IsaacMoses But my statement would have been intended to express the opposite.

@!$#% prepositions

WAF
@IsaacMoses a) Who's using big words now? b) You just poked User !$#%.

2:43 PM
I suppose that statement, stripped of context, is a tautology, as long as there is at least one other entity in the universe.

WAF
@IsaacMoses c) I think you mean anaphora.

@WAF 8^P

WAF
@IsaacMoses Yes, but it would still be reassuring.

Alright. Thanks again for representing at the chat cast and for sharing the pointers. Gotta go.

3:10 PM
@WAF Thanks.

4 hours later…

This week, Jeff and Joel are joined by Patrick McKenzie – StackOverflow contributor, internet commentator and SEO expert (especially when it comes to driving traffic for bingo cards).  After a few early tech issues (don’t worry, we cleaned up for everyone at home) we jump right into things, with tons of discussion, including:

The big news for Stack Exchange this week: we officially launched our new mobile support!

We also recently introduced in-line editing so you don’t have to go to a separate page to edit an answer or question – we really want to encourage editing and have people help make questions better. …

@msh210 Maybe he's on vacation.
