@Yishai oi40.tinypic.com/2lwnpza.jpg it is well known that many ashkenazim forged things in the name of jo'oneem and other earlier sources in order to show that they have a basis for their claims, which were usually qabbolo — MoriDoweedhYa3gob 40 mins ago
@double aa, is this thread transfer-to-chat/deletion worthy?

@SethJ :(

3:11 AM
someone had deleted the responses to my questions?

4:09 AM
@SethJ Deletion IMO. He's just complaining at Ashkenazim in general. It has nothing to do with the answer.

@DoubleAA just bring it to chat. its chat worthy :)

@MoriDoweedhYa3gob Only you can do that. Mods can't migrate comments to chat.
If you have a link that is.

how do i do that

@MoriDoweedhYa3gob when you start a new comment, if your conversation is long the system should give you a link that says migrate to chat.
Ahh I see you don't have such an option and someone deleted many of the comments already. cc @SethJ

right...
so bring them back so i can bring them here

4:16 AM
@MoriDoweedhYa3gob If what you said is intelligent, you doubtless have enough intelligence still to say it (albeit not in the same words).

@msh210 as you already know...i am not intelligent therefore bring it back kthxbai

@MoriDoweedhYa3gob Undeleting comments is for exceptionally rare circumstances only.

Q: How did the term "Judaism" came into usage, who coined this term?

AliIn one of the comments elsewhere I read that Judaism was coined by the enemies of Bani Israel i.e the Romans. Is this true? Also how and when this term Judaism began being used for denoting a religion?

Hi is there a master list of Jewish Rabbis? as I am trying to verify this article, was Moisha Krivitsky a Real Rabbi? how can we verify it?

@Islam No; sorry. There's no formal hierarchy or central registry.

Well that was entertaining.

@HodofHod Indeed.
Though I have no idea what you are referring to.

@DoubleAA The interview of the former "rabbi"

@HodofHod Ahh. I got bored after line 2. Perhaps I'll go back if I get a chance.

@DoubleAA I had several false starts. But then I decided to see if I could find any real record of this person's existence, or his rabbinate. No luck at all.

5:09 PM
Went back to the article hoping to see what prompted the "change." There's a fair bit of question dodging and vague answers, the standard "Muhammad fits the requirements to be a prophet" while ignoring the part about not changing laws....
If this guys exists, either the interviewer was terrible, or his education was.
@IsaacMoses That's whenever I open a browser! ;)

5:25 PM
Has anyone been in contact with Hebrewbooks' staff recently?

@HodofHod In such a charged and dangerous area as Dagestan, I'd be surprised if the rabbi didn't convert!

@HodofHod why? sometimes they are super-easy to contact. Sometimes they ignore all contact.

6:59 PM
@Shmuel I know, it's driving me crazy.
@Charles I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry :S

@HodofHod I honestly don't get the joke. I meant it entirely seriously. If, G-d forbid, I were being regularly threatened and feared for my life and my family's, I'd convert to without a real reason. Probably do the crypto-Jew thing for a while. Then leave.

7:22 PM

@SethJ Yeah...
