@DanF I want to follow up on our discussion of the two sukkah-roof questions. You asked Can one use a modified palapa built on a pier as his Succah?, which asks about two things: a sukkah on a pier/boat, and a convex roof. The only answer addresses only the pier/boat aspect and the answerer says he can't address the other.

Meanwhile, I asked Must the top of a sukkah be level?, which was marked as a dupe of yours.

I propose that we remove the second part of your question, making it only about the pier/boat (matching the answer), and reopen mine about the roof. I'm happy to add a palapa roof as a second example to my question. Perhaps by unbundling the question we can get better answers for both aspects. What do you think?

I don't think he frequents Chat though. But I guess moderator superpowers can draw him in.

Well, you drew me in for now. Nice to be moderator, I guess? I have no problem with you editing my question. I agree that your question should be re-opened, or, maybe some way to merge yours and mine? Whichever works best. Your question definitely overlaps mine regarding the shape, but I asked the question indirectly. Perhaps, it makes sense to just edit the title of my question to focus on both the shape and the location of the succa rather than making it specific to use of a pallapa?
