@DoubleAA, My goal is to make an as broad as possible question that is in-scope. I'm thinking that someone might want to know about a Yartzeit or Birthday as a legitimate Jewish question, even if it isn't currently commemorated. For example, no one to my knowledge commemorated the Rambam's birthday until the Lubavitcher Rebbe set up the first cycle of Rambam study to complete on that date, but even without that having been done (yet) knowing the Birthday of such a person would be of Jewish interest (it seems to me). — YishaiJan 9 at 15:46
@DoubleAA ... I think we generally disallow requests for random biographical details about rabbis without explicit Judaism motivation. I think the Rebbe could make the Rambam's birthday into a Judaism fact, just as he could make a dollar into a Judaism artifact, but except in the context of his having done so (or some similar conference of significance), they're not a priori about Judaism.
@Scimonster I don't recall exactly, but I believe that was my second SE account, after MY. I figured if my credentials here are that i shecht, my credentials there would be that I tutor. They've gotten used to it already, over there, though I'm not really so active over there anymore. That icon is/was the default SE icon.

@Shokhet you can't sort them by age on the accounts list, but the reputation graph will show when you started earning rep on each site and you always start with 1, so that gives you the information down to the day level. If you created multiple accounts on the same day you won't be able to tell about the order within the day.

@Scimonster all of the answers have sadly low scores. I think it's because when we're promoting a publication that info is in the question, and it only gets moved down to an answer later when people aren't paying attention as much.
I know i'm a bit late to the party, but maybe instead of replacing the question with the download links / post, leave the question as-is, post an answer for Chanukah, and accept it.
@Scimonster Nice! Maybe push them in a little closer, so that they show up larger in the final picture? You don't have to show every word on every cover.
@Scimonster well, that doesn't work for me because we want to be able to spread a persistent URL and I don't want to make people who don't know SE look for the answer (even if accepted). I think the current approach works fine.

@Scimonster You could do this, with much more overlap, showing mainly the titles of the top two books. Then, crop it to a narrow column and put ad copy next to it.
I think that if judaism.stackexchange.com/questions/52736/… were better written and provided better arguments, it could actually be an interesting (if provocative) question.

@Shokhet I think the answers there only address half the question (the old one, not the new dupe). They say no to worshiping, but nothing about belief in their existence.
@Shokhet I closed it as "unclear"; I considered 'too broad" but didn't want to confuse matters further. I left a comment.
If it turns out that his revised question is a dupe then we can handle it then, but until he focuses it I don't think we can declare dupe for a partial dupe.
I want to ask about if Judaism ever recognized other gods (not to be worshiped, just if they exist). Problem is, that's already part of this question. Other problem is, the answers there only talk about worshiping, not acknowledgement. Should i edit that question to only ask about worshiping (not disqualifying the answers) and ask a new one?
