@Meta-Man I advertised the haggadah on a mailing list and got email tonight from somebody who was confused by our landing page because (I'm inferring here) there wasn't a big "download" button graphic. Missed the link, in other words.
@IsaacMoses can we actually do graphics as links? Hmm, I guess there's no reason we can't, now that I think about it. (Markdown confuses me sometimes.)
BTW, I took a stack of small flyers (ad with download URL) to my minyan; a bunch got taken and somebody took the leftovers to take to a Brotherhood brunch tomorrow. Yay!
@IsaacMoses, I've seen some propagation on G+ and some of the posts have comments. Worth collecting those in a CW post on the feedback question? They aren't necessarily all feedback, but they may be worth tracking. (And ditto for other social-media links that people are aware of, of course.)
@MonicaCellio My grandmother, incidentally, got confused by Dropbox's landing page. I'd still love to find a way to host it that allows direct downloads.
@MonicaCellio Fair enough. It's just not something they do, as I understand it. I think their servers are optimized for dealing up SE content in a certain way, and not for hosting random files.
@IsaacMoses seems like. So we'll have to keep looking; dropbox is probably still better than somebody's personal web space, but it'd be nice to improve on both.
I put a copy on my personal web site and added a secondary link, for those having trouble with Dropbox. This isn't the best solution long-term, but for now at least... (I don't mind keeping it there forever, but I'm hoping there's something better out there.)
As of now the NFL is trying to bully the Orioles into moving their long scheduled Sept. 5th game so the Ravens can play their opening day game on this night.
The obvious solution is for the Ravens to play on Wednesday night when the Orioles have an away game.

^ I'm sure I can Google this, but what's the issue here? Merely competing for fans? or do they share a stadium? The question should probably also specify they're different sports: otherwise "the NFL is trying to bully the Orioles" is very unclear.

@msh210 oh, those are different sports? Shows what I know about sports. :-) I pretty much ignored the "bullying" part and focused only on the scheduling (the only part that I think is on-topic). Well, now that somebody's pointed out that Thursday is RH too, it's not av ery interesting question...
I have had a great experience on Mi Yodeya in general, but I have noticed that certain aspects of the site/community can be discouraging to contributors with a lack of Jewish knowledge. For example:

@IsaacMoses yes, very exciting! Everybody, this is a reminder to take a little extra care with the new users; we want to draw them in, not scare them off with comments that sound critical when they're not meant to be. (See the immediately-prior meta post.) We generally do a good job of this but we've had some hiccups at times; if, as I hope, we're about to get a bunch of new users, let's try to double-check what we write through the lens of someone who doesn't know us yet.
