@D.Hutchinson I don't know about American teenagers, who seem to be so free that they can still cook for themselves every day and afford a part-time paid job while studying at school. So maybe they can afford to surf internet often. In my country, teenagers are very busy; it's impossible for them to have a part-time job while studying. When I was a teenager, we had an overwhelming amount of schoolwork--homework to do and exams to prepare for.
@kenorb I keep having the problem of lacking time. I inadvertently let a year pass again and again. I don't really understand how time evades me.

I do feel the socilization through talking on web takes more energy than physical talking with people in reality--when I get eyestrain or am tired, I just can't read well, but I can still talk about light topics.
I think most people would prefer to socilize with real people than virtual people on web.
I guess people who extensively socilize on web are usually those who live in a wasteland where they can't find anybody who can understand them.
