TIO is being migrated to Linode, which offers twice the RAM for the same price. https://www.linode.com/?r=1ea9f82e481e6646fee4739144eac412f8c50611 There should be no downtime.

@Dennis sorry for the late response (sleeping): I got that error only once when I opened a specific link in a new tab. When I copied the link and opened it in the same window instead, it worked.

And it works either way now ^

@Adám Hard to judge from my slow connection, but Linode is supposed to be faster than DO.

@Dennis Well, it certainly feels faster, both in loading, switching language, and execution. And if my memory serves me right, the Debug's timings are much shorter than they used to be. Is AndrewSavinykh's mirror still up and on the old system so I can compare?

@Adám I've been running on linode in last few month. I however run the whole setup on a single server. And yes, absence of any traffic whatsoever also will skew any comparison

@Adám You could add 192.241.130.16 tio.run to your hosts file. The old servers are still up.

Disregard that. I'm currently building Spidermonkey there and the arena is saturated.

actually, Retina probably won't need to be updated again there. 1.0 will be different enough that just pulling it will likely break most of the TIO links on PPCG, so it'll probably better to separate the two versions as two languages on TIO anyway.

For reference, the TIO servers have 1 GiB of RAM and 2 GiB of zRAM.

I'm not sure how much RAM the previous version required, but that wasn't enough apparently.

@Dennis If I understand correctly, the server is never aware of that "intermediate" timestamp reference, right? So if I change the code I can safely reuse that timestamp in the answer and just update the real link at the end of the answer

The timestamp in generated Markdown? That's completely cosmetic, you can rename it to whatever you want.
