@Dennis Ctrl+enter does not abort TIO

No repro. In which browser is this?

Firefox 53.0
never mind, it works

1 hour later…

@Dennis Thanks, no problem!

6:48 AM
@Dennis When implementing something in Brachylog, I found something that needed improvements with the constraints library of SWI-Prolog itself. The maintainer implemented it yesterday.
It would be great if you could replace the file swipl/library/clp/clpfd.pl with this updated version of the same file from the github repo of SWI-Prolog in TIO's SWI-Prolog install

@Fatalize It's 3:00 right now and I'll probably fubar something if I do that now. I'll look into it tomorrow.

Cool, thanks. Now get some sleep :p

7 hours later…
1:54 PM
@Dennis could you pull stacked please?

1 hour later…
3:11 PM
@ConorO'Brien stacked says it's Already up-to-date.

weird...

GitHub agrees. Last commit was 7 days ago.

ok so I probably didn't commit it. thanks

Heads-up to @all: My daughter isn't feeling well and it might take a while before I can respond to pings.

hope she feels better!

3:25 PM
Just a cold. :) Comes with the usual ×100 crankiness multiplier in small children though.

1 hour later…
4:26 PM
Aww, That's too bad! *sends cookies*

5:09 PM
@Dennis J no implicit print?

1 hour later…
6:11 PM
@LeakyNun no, you have to do echo 42

@Adám how do I use that?

@Adám oh thanks

Q: Golf Dennis a thermometer

AdámDennis puts in a huge amount of effort for this community, including as moderator, language designer, and provider of TIO. Unfortunately, his daughter has caught a cold, so let us all help him keep track of her recovery (may it be speedy) by providing him with a thermometer: .-----------. | ...

1 hour later…
7:39 PM
@Adám :)

8:27 PM
@Dennis how small is small? toddler?
I thought you only had an adult one, but apparently that's wrong

@Riker An adult one? How old do you think I am? :P
My daughter is 4 years old.

@carusocomputing Inspiration. But hey, maybe she doesn't have a cold, but is just pregnant? This could of course be good or bad… — Adám 1 hour ago
And she's 4? o_O
:P

8:48 PM
@Dennis I thought you had one, idk
something about my cat looking cute

9:05 PM
@Riker Yep, that's the 4 yo. She meows every time she sees your or @DJMcMayhem's avatar.

ahhh
lol

XD
That's really cute

^

@Dennis Do you teach her programming?

At 4 years old?

9:18 PM
A bit young for that.
She's very skilled with all kinds of electronic devices though. She's better at Angry Birds than both of her parents will ever be.

9:39 PM
@Phoenix I teach my 5yo APL.

OK, yes, with APL she wouldn't have to learn words first.
10

@Dennis Exactly. My son correctly evaluated 3≠2+6=+/⍳3, but cannot read English or any other language he understands.
@Dennis Apparently, symbols are easy for kids to take in.
I'm trying to get him to add 1…100 before reaching 8. So far he manages 55=+/⍳10. Almost there…

@Adám wouldn't it be easier to use the triangular formula? :P

@ASCII-only I teach him both how to use the triangular formula, and how to use APL to calculate numbers that are too big for him.
@ASCII-only We just started multiplication of multi-digit numbers, so going up to a hundred is still a bit too high. However, doing it on a computer is easy.

10:27 PM
@Dennis Can you move from this and down to APL?

Not from my phone, unfortunately. We just left the hospital.

@Dennis Oh dear, it's that bad? Later then.

No, no. Most doctor's don't have their own office here.

@Dennis But to the doctor for a cold‽

Nothing serious, as I suspected. We just wanted to make sure.
@Adám That's what I told my wife, but I was overruled. ;)

10:30 PM
@Adám Is ‽ part of the APL code page or did you copy it from somewhere.

@Phoenix I do use my own keyboard layout which includes all APL glyphs and identifier chars, but is not APL (yet), so I had to copy it. Being that I use it quite a bit, maybe I should add it to the next version of my layout…

Or sneak it into APL, maybe? :P

10:58 PM
@Dennis What is your daughter's temperature?

@Adám 38 °C the last time I checked.
