@Dennis Mathematica can't rasterize text anymore? What happened? tio.run/#%23y00syUjNTSzJTE78/z8osbgktSizKtVBKTEpWen/fwA
@user202729 Did that break just now or is it possible the upgrade to Fedora 29 (January 7) caused this?
I don't know, I didn't use TIO for a while.
Looks like this was caused by the fontconfig update that came with Fedora 29. I'll see if I can do something about that.

@Dennis Please tell me the solution if you manage to figure it out, I haven't been able to start the graphical frontend to Mathematica since upgrading

@Pavel Create and cd into a directory of your choice (e.g., /opt/mathematica/fontconfig), do rpm2cpio https://rpmfind.net/linux/fedora/linux/updates/28/Everything/x86_64/Packages/f/f‌ontconfig-2.13.0-5.fc28.x86_64.rpm | cpio -idm, then prepend LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/mathematica/fontconfig/usr/lib64 to the executable in your Mathematica.desktop file.
@user202729 Try it online!
@Dennis Thanks much!
