@Dennis Could you pull Add++ please?
15:35
@cairdcoinheringaahing Done.
@Dennis Thanks!
15:47
@Dennis Could you change the Add++ wrapper so that it uses the --utf flag by default? It should just be placed after the "$@" < .input.tio part
16:08
@cairdcoinheringaahing I'd personally place them before "$@", in case you want to use an actual argument parser some day.
@Dennis Sure. I don't think it really matters where the flags are placed in the CLA
Done.
@Dennis Thanks!

.oO(after < .input.tio is definitely the wrong place for args)
19:08
@Dennis could you pull VSL
the ./vsl now is symlinked to ./lib/cli/vsl.js so you should be able to use that too
also, now it might be better to do vsl build <input vsl file> -o <output executable> and then ./<output executable> so you can pass build flags

@Downgoat From add-backend? Asking since the last commit was 8 days ago...
@Dennis develop branch
Huh, git submodule update --init --recursive finished instantly.
Try removing --init, the submodules have definetly been updated
I don't update. I re-clone and start over.
module.js:540

@Dennis how are you running
this can only happen if not fully built (which it looks like it is) or not fully cloned (which it also looks like it is)
22:36
@Downgoat Same way as the last time, except I didn't switch branches this time.
git clone github.com/vsl-lang/VSL.git vsl
cd vsl
git submodule update --init --recursive
CMAKE_LIBRARY_PATH=node_modules/nan npm install
npm run build
The build folder is only 390 MiB big this time. I suspect that whatever submodules are present in the add-backend branch are missing from the develop branch.
23:12
@Dennis I did remove some submodules such as OpenSSL and glibc, though submodules shouldn't even be required to build
do you get the above error at built-time or when running vsl build
could you provide tree src and tree lib
Also git rev-parse @
@Downgoat Fixed it by moving lib/vsl/transform/typeLookup to lib/vsl/typeLookup.
That's with the old invocation method. vsl build doesn't work.
<input.ll> -> .vsl-tempe52dc5a2.o
ld: i386 architecture of input file `/usr/lib/crt1.o' is incompatible with i386:x86-64 output
/usr/lib/crt1.o: In function `_start':
(.text+0xc): undefined reference to `__libc_csu_fini'
(.text+0x11): undefined reference to `__libc_csu_init'
vsl: failed: ld: exited with 1
/usr/lib64/crt1.o exists. I have no idea why it tried to use the 32-bit version in /usr/lib.
23:34
@Dennis oh, hm
for now you can use vsl build <input.vsl> -t obj -o output.o and then ld output.o /lib/crt64/crt1.o -lc for now
@Downgoat The closest match to that filename is /usr/lib64/crt1.o. Building works, but I still get an error from the linker.
/usr/lib64/libc_nonshared.a(elf-init.oS): In function `__libc_csu_init':
(.text+0x2d): undefined reference to `_init'
OK, I needed crti.o as well.
It builds now. Now I just have to figure out why it won't run.
It has /lib/ld64.so.1 hardcoded as the interpreter, which doesn't exist on Linux.
Adding -dynamic-linker /lib/ld-linux.so.2 fixes the No such file or directory error, but now it says Accessing a corrupted shared library.
Using gcc instead of ld solves the problem.
