First rehearsal for Tommy went well. 2 guitars, piano, drums, me (bass), and a horn. Guitar 1 might double on harmonica, and Guitar 2 on synth. And it calls for the drummer to switch over to a hand percussion set.

I think my pedal setup is mostly good (again I forgot to take a picture). I want to move the Para Eq to go after the Octo Puss. So the other Eq needs to go after the fuzz. I think I'll be able to do a nice pseudo "synth filter sweep" with the Para Eq.

The piano player is having some technical difficulty. The keyboard has lots of banks, but only 4 program buttons. So she can only get 4 different sounds before having to menu dive.

The keyboard has a USB-B jack on it. So my first thought is a little midi controller that can send program change messages.

Yes, that becomes an expensive rabbit hole... No chance they can borrow a keyboard with greater functionality for this gig?

I think I came up with a better solution. There's an android app called MIDI Commander which I think will do it. So all we need is the right cable.

I got really annoyed with my V-accordion's MIDI implementation recently. I was hoping to do something like you're doing - put my program changes into my sheet music app - but it turns out if you connect the MIDI input of the instrument, it controls everything - notes as well as program changes - so none of the controls on the instrument work, including the keys
