Hi guys, would just like to say that I'm currently going through all the merged guitars questions, and retagging them accordingly, if anyone has a problem with my retagging just let me know, and I will change it. Thanks :)

@AlistairMaxwell Sure thing. I've probably retagged somewhere around 50% of them going newest to oldest

@MatthewRead cheers. And I'm going the other way, oldest to newest, I've got to about half way through February. I think that once you hit my edits chronologically, you will be moderating my work, and once I hit yours I will be moderating yours. Any problems let me know :) And after I've done that, I will then start on tag synonyms and wikis.

also, @MatthewRead sorry about this, but it seems I have been mistagging questions related to whammy bars and tremolo systems as 'tremolo.' could you as you plough through my already retagged questions retag them as either 'whammy bar' or 'tremolo system.' thanks :)

@AlistairMaxwell Ah, sure thing. I created "tremolo" just yesterday to refer to the technique. "whammy bar" will probably be renamed "tremolo bar" based on how frequently the latter is used in question text, see meta.music.stackexchange.com/questions/171/…

though "tremolo system" might be good as well. i doubt both "system" and "bar" would need to exist

@MatthewRead yeah I think that's best, was considering creating a separate 'Floyd Rose' tag due to a lot of questions on the subject, but I think tremolo system would cover it all better. Creating the tag now.

Remember that tag merges and renames can be done if there are a chunk of things that can be handled in a batch swoop by a moderator....which won't bump the questions.

Yep, a merge would've been easy. Now that they're all retagged though I've just made whammy-bar a synonym of tremolo-system, that will be easier to undo if we decide we need to distinguish

Fab, I can't see us needing to distinguish too much, but if we do then that should be fine
